Brandon Cheeks II, representing CTG Development and Mission Bay High in San Diego, won the boys 15-16 long jump with a sixth-round mark of 22-5.25 (6.84m) at the USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships at Hornet Stadium at Sacramento State. Cheeks II, entering his junior year, also took third in the 15-16 triple jump with a wind-aided 45-1,50 (13.75m) performance.
